iTunes – 12 Days of Christmas: Day 8: The Pillars of the Earth

Apple’s free Christmas gifts continue… this time with another e-book.
The eighth gift is a book from author Ken Follett called The Pillars of the Earth.

This book is a sort of historical epic.
The book examines the lives of several characters in and around the building of a cathedral in the 12th Century.
According to the foreword this is a departure from the normal thrillers written by the author but there are several good reviews so should be worth a read.

Still people are leaving more embarrassing negative reviews in iTunes because the kiddies want their toys.
Unwilling to try something new, they want it honed specifically for them.
Why not expand your experiences a little – eh?

Once more I say that books are a welcome inclusion, even if the subject isn’t to the individual’s taste. The novel would probably surprise many if they bothered to read it…
