Review
As is often the case with corporate sponsored Apps, the focus is heavily weighted towards the that corporations (WebSense) product family, even in the feeds; a sentence I seem doomed to write in every review
The feeds do include the Security Labs Alerts which is one on my main sources of Web Security information: excellent.
The other feeds though are massively skewed towards products so that will only interest WebSense customers, or those looking into WebSense as a security provider.
The potentially useful Security Center is unavailable, unless you register with WebSense.
Doing so within the App, however, sent me to a page not found error.
The Media section gives you a sort of “What our Customers say” video segment for WebSense systems.
I find that the app requires a registered account far too often to access information, even elements like Support that could draw new users to them.
Conclusion
A pretty application but with significant flaws:
- Requires registered account
- basically an RSS feeder
Significant amount of WebSense information hidden behind login.
Recommend you simply instead follow the RSS feed for WebSense in Google Reader or the like
