iOS Maps WTF

Well,
Before I post my other notes about iOS 6, I thought I’d give the first major change a bit a mention, as I needed it today and its… …interesting.
Ladies and Gentleman, Apple Maps.

‘New Town’??

Here’s bit one, now famous example:

The red pin is where Apple Maps places Uckfield, East Sussex.
Alas, the purple pin is where Uckfield really is! Some 5 miles away!
One might argue over what exactly ‘New Town’ is too whilst we’re here.

Alternatives?

Never thought I’d say this but, hurry up Google with an iOS app for Google Maps!
Please!
In the meantime, I’m probably going to try and use the rather battery hungry TomTom app. Also expensive, over £30.

So, Apple Maps, a bit rubbish then?
