First iOS 6 glitches

Now a quick post.

I wonder if anyone else is seeing some odd behaviour in there iOS 6 devices?
The problem I have been experiencing is a bit odd and terribly annoying.
Essentially the App Store is crashing at apparently random times.

Genius:

A feature of the App Store I have used a fair amount is Genius. It allows Apple to suggest programs that are similar or related to Apps you have installed.
Problem is that since the iOS 6 update, Genius simply crashes. Not every time, but certainly most of the time.

Okay, that’s annoying. But it seems to be just a symptom of a wider issue.
When searching the App Store I find it crashes occasionally.
Perhaps not straightaway but more likely after trying to leaf through a few apps.
If you’ve already gone through several pages of apps and then a crash is a little more than frustrating!

Anyway, that’s my gripe today.

  1. Ive been using it for 3 days now and no crashes so far. By any chance did you restore from a backup? I know we shouldn’t believe everything we read but I read that setting up from a backup can cause low battery life and crashes. You should try setting it up as a new IPhone. Might resolve this issue. Maybe an initial pain but better in the long run. 🙂

    • Hmm,
      I simply upgraded.
Seemed to work fine. It is only a few Apps and App Store itself I think.
Certainly I’ve not yet lost any data.
I’ll let it bed a while yet before zapping my iPhone 4S.
Will wait for the contract to end before replacing the phone, I’m on the “S” cycle, so to speak.
Seen the new iPhone 5 now and the device feels very different in the hand, but is very responsive.
